What will you be doing?

As Assistant Centre Manager, you’ll work closely with the Centre Manager to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of our vibrant and nurturing centre. You’ll:

  • Support, mentor, and inspire a passionate team of educators
  • Build strong, trusting relationships with children, families, and the local community
  • Partner with the Centre Manager on operational and compliance tasks, including rosters, documentation, and enrolments
  • Champion quality practice through the EYLF, NQS, and child safe standard
  • Step into leadership when needed and bring your own flair to the Mayfield culture—creating a positive, inclusive, and uplifting environment

In short, you’ll play a key role in helping our team and centre shine every single day.

You’re someone who:

  • Has a Diploma or higher qualification in Early Childhood Education
  • Brings strong communication, leadership, and organisational skills
  • Understands EYLF, NQS, and the Rating & Assessment process
  • Is passionate about mentoring others and building positive relationships
  • Holds a current Blue Card, First Aid/CPR, and Child Protection training (or willingness to obtain)
  • Has availability Monday to Friday from 6am - to 6:00pm
