The Opportunity

Our Home Hill Centre has an exciting opportunity for a passionate and dedicated Educator to join our incredible team on a casual basis, covering illness and roster gaps.

As an integral part of the team, you will play a crucial role in creating a nurturing and educational environment for the children in our care. 

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring child safety & wellbeing using your active supervision skills.
  • Collaborating with the team on age-appropriate curriculum implementation. 
  • Providing personalised attention, addressing unique learning styles and needs of the children in our care.
  • Guiding behaviour through positive reinforcement for social and emotional development.
  • Maintaining open communication with parents about a child's progress and concerns.
  • Actively participating in team meetings for a cohesive approach to early childhood education. 
  • Fostering a positive, inclusive atmosphere embracing diverse backgrounds in a culturally sensitive manner.

You

  • Are available to pick up shifts between 6.30am - 6.30pm M - F.
  • Hold a minimum of a Cert III in ECEC (or ACECQA approved equivalent)
  • Valid Blue Card
  • First Aid / Child Protection / Red Nose / Food Safety training (or willing to obtain)
  • Working knowledge & understanding of Child Safe Standards
  • Working knowledge & understanding of NQF & EYLF
  • Genuine passion for the Early Childhood sector - you will enjoy communicating with and building trusted relationships with children, their families, your teammates and the wider community.
