Casual Educator - Mayfield Early Education Sandringham

Are you a passionate, reliable, and caring Educator who thrives in a supportive and close-knit team environment?

At Mayfield Early Education Sandringham, we’re looking for Casual Educators (Cert III or above) who love what they do and are ready to jump in and make a difference each day.

Our centre is a welcoming, home-away-from-home for both children and educators alike. You’ll be joining a friendly, collaborative, and professional team that genuinely supports one another and celebrates every win – big or small.

About the Role

You’ll step in to support the team across different rooms when needed, ensuring a smooth, engaging, and consistent experience for all children in our care.

This casual role offers flexibility and variety — perfect for someone who’s adaptable and enjoys working with different age groups and educators. You’ll need to be available to cover shifts Monday to Friday between 6:00am and 6:30pm, sometimes at short notice.

What You’ll Need

  • Certificate III or above in Early Childhood Education and Care (or ACECQA approved equivalent)
  • Current Working with Children Check (Employee)
  • Child Protection, Red Nose, and Food Safety Training (or willingness to obtain)
  • Sound understanding of the EYLF, NQF, and Child Safe Standards
  • A positive, can-do attitude and genuine passion for helping children learn and grow

Why Join Us?

We take care of the people who care for our little legends. Here’s what you can expect:

  • Generous enrolment discounts for your children across Mayfield Centres
  • Career growth opportunities, including monthly leadership sessions and clear pathways to progress
  • Professional development, including overseas study tours
  • Nationally Recognised Traineeships – study your Cert III, Diploma, Bachelor, or Management-level ECEC qualifications while you work
  • Above Award pay – because we value your skills, experience, and commitment
  • 15% wage uplift via the Educator Retention Grant
  • Plus: staff recognition programs, referral bonuses, and 24/7 wellbeing support for you and your family

At Mayfield Sandringham, you’ll feel supported, appreciated, and part of a genuine team that loves what they do. If you’re looking for flexible work in an environment that feels like family – we’d love to hear from you!
