About Our Collinswood Centre

Our two-storey, purpose-built Collinswood centre is thoughtfully designed to inspire curiosity, connection, and learning. The environment includes:

• A dining room, music room, and kitchen cooking platform
• An outdoor verandah and shaded balcony
• Two engaging outdoor play spaces, including a spider-web climbing frame and rock mound with slide

The centre has a beautifully diverse culture, with educators who speak multiple languages and reflect the community we serve.  Guided by Montessori principles, sustainability and sensory education are embedded into daily practice.  Children engage in meaningful, hands-on learning through:

• Vegetable and herb gardens
• Compost bins and a Grow Free cart
• Centre pets, including pet frogs
  

We are proud of our strong community connections, including partnerships with St Monica’s Primary School, the Australian Broadcasting Station, Happy Feet Dance, and Ready Steady Go.  Our reception area features a First Nations Library, offering families access to books by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander authors — reinforcing our commitment to inclusion, respect, and cultural learning.

Educational Excellence

Our School Readiness Program for children aged 3–6 is delivered by qualified Early Childhood Teachers holding Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees. The program supports children to develop the confidence, skills, and foundations they need to succeed in their future learning journeys.

Your Role as Centre Manager

As Centre Manager, you will:

• Lead, mentor, and inspire a passionate and diverse team
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive workplace culture
• Build strong, trusting relationships with families and the wider community
• Oversee centre operations, compliance, and continuous improvement
• Champion high-quality education aligned with Montessori philosophy and the EYLF
• Create an environment where children, families, and educators feel safe, valued, and supported
  

What You’ll Bring

• Proven leadership experience in early childhood education
• Hold a minimum of a Diploma in Easly Childhood Education (or ACECQA assessed equivalent)
• A current Working with Children Card, First Aid Certificate, Mandatory Reporting and any other required certifications (or be willing to obtain)  
• Strong knowledge of the NQF, EYLF, and regulatory requirements
• A genuine passion for people leadership and team development
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• A commitment to quality education, inclusion, and continuous improvement
