Diploma Educator - Lyrebird ELC, Carrum Downs.

At Lyrebird ELC, we’re looking for a Diploma Educator to join our team — someone who believes every interaction, every question, and every moment of curiosity matters. Here, you’ll be part of a supportive, collaborative team that values relationships, celebrates individuality, and works together to create a safe, inspiring, and genuinely caring environment for all children in our care.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Designing and implementing engaging programs that nurture children’s social, emotional, and cognitive development.
  • Leading by example, supporting colleagues to provide high-quality care and education every day.
  • Building strong, trusting partnerships with families through open communication and collaboration.
  • Bringing creativity and fresh ideas to the learning environment, ensuring it remains inspiring and full of discovery.
  • Advocating for each child’s interests, needs, and wellbeing, keeping them at the centre of everything you do.

What You’ll Bring

  • A Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (or ACECQA-approved equivalent).
  • Experience working in early learning settings and a genuine passion for supporting children’s growth.
  • Availability to work on a roster between 6am – 6pm.
  • A current WWCC, plus Child Protection, Red Nose, and Food Safety training (or willingness to obtain).
  • A solid understanding of the EYLF, NQF, and Child Safe Standards.
  • A kind heart, a curious mind, and a commitment to creating meaningful learning experiences.

Why You’ll Love Working with Us

We take care of the people who care for children. Here’s what you can expect:
  • Above-award pay that recognises your skills and dedication.
  • 15% wage uplift with the ECEC Government Grant.
  • Discounted enrolment fees for your own children at any Mayfield Centre.
  • Access to free wellbeing and medical support for you and your family, 24/7.
  • Ongoing professional development, including unique opportunities like study tours to New Zealand.
  • Real career growth opportunities within our expanding group.
  • A friendly, supportive team that celebrates wins together and values your ideas.
Join a place where your passion, creativity, and dedication make a difference in children’s lives every single day.
