Mayfield Early Education Enoggera is seeking a full-time Diploma Qualified Lead Educator / Child Care Group Leader to join our established and supportive team in Brisbane, Queensland. Position Details
- Position: Diploma Qualified Lead Educator / Child Care Group Leader
- Employment Type: Full Time
- Location: Mayfield Early Education Enoggera, Brisbane, QLD
- Salary: $70,000 – $80,000 per year + superannuation (commensurate with skills and experience)

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, implementation, and evaluation of play-based learning programs aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF)
- Take responsibility for the overall operation of the room, ensuring a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment for all children
- Guide, mentor, and support a team of educators, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team culture
- Oversee and ensure high-quality documentation, observations, and learning outcomes, maintaining accuracy and compliance
- Build and maintain strong, professional relationships with children, families, and team members, acting as a key point of contact within the room
- Ensure ongoing compliance with the National Quality Framework (NQF), service policies, and all regulatory requirements
- Monitor and support children’s learning, development, and wellbeing, implementing strategies to support individual needs
- Work across operating hours on a rotating roster between 6:30am – 6:30pm
Skills and Experience Required
- Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (ACECQA approved qualification or equivalent)
- Minimum 2–3 years’ relevant experience in an early childhood education setting, including experience in a Lead Educator or room leadership capacity
- Demonstrated strong knowledge and practical application of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), National Quality Standard (NQS), and Child Safe Standards
- Proven ability to lead, guide and support a team of educators, including mentoring and fostering a positive team culture
- Demonstrated experience in planning, implementing, and evaluating educational programs, including oversight of documentation and learning outcomes
- Strong understanding of compliance and regulatory requirements, with the ability to maintain high-quality standards within the room
- Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with children, families, and colleagues
- Ability to take ownership of a learning environment, manage daily room operations, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
Mandatory Requirements
- Valid Working with Children Check / Blue Card
- Child Protection training
- First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Food Safety training (or willingness to obtain)
