Lead Educator (Nursery) - Lyrebird Early Learning Centre

Lead Educator | Nursery | Lyrebird Early Learning Centre

Are you a warm, nurturing educator who finds joy in helping little ones take their very first steps in learning and life?

At Lyrebird ELC, we’re searching for a passionate Lead Educator to join our Nursery team — someone who believes every interaction, every milestone, and every moment matters. Here, you’ll be part of a close-knit team that values relationships, celebrates individuality, and works together to create a safe, inspiring, and genuinely caring environment for children under two.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Creating and delivering meaningful programs that nurture the whole child — emotionally, socially, and cognitively.
  • Leading by example, inspiring your team to provide the very best care and education every single day.
  • Building strong, trusting relationships with families through open communication and collaboration.
  • Bringing fresh ideas and creative approaches to learning, ensuring the environment remains engaging and full of wonder.
  • Advocating for each child’s voice, ensuring their needs, interests, and wellbeing are always at the heart of what we do.

What You’ll Bring

  • A Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (or ACECQA-approved equivalent).
  • Experience working with the under 2s — and a genuine love for this age group.
  • Availability to work 5 days a week on a rotating roster between 7am – 6pm.
  • A current WWCC, plus Child Protection, Red Nose, and Food Safety training (or willingness to obtain).
  • A sound understanding of the EYLF, NQF, and Child Safe Standards.
  • A kind heart, a curious mind, and a passion for creating positive early learning experiences.

Why You’ll Love Working With Us

We take care of the people who care for our little ones. Here’s what you can look forward to:

  • Above award pay that reflects your experience and the incredible work you do.
  • Discounted childcare fees for your own children at any Mayfield Centre.
  • Access to free wellbeing and medical support for you and your family, 24/7.
  • Ongoing professional development (including opportunities like study tours to New Zealand!).
  • Genuine career growth opportunities within our expanding group.
  • A supportive, down-to-earth team that celebrates wins together and values your ideas.

Join a place where your compassion and leadership help shape the earliest and most meaningful chapters of a child’s life.
